Product pageWhat is the EV Grid Working Group?
A working group established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) on the theme of integrating electric vehicles (EVs) and power systems, with the participation of operators and experts from across the automotive, electric power, energy, and other industries, shared their awareness of issues and opportunities related to EV utilization and discussed solutions.
The EV grid refers to a system in which electric vehicles become part of a smart grid (smart power grid), supplying power and linking to the power network. The EV Grid WG is an advanced power grid that efficiently manages power supply, integrates renewable energy, and maintains power balance during peak hours. The EV Grid WG is currently studying the EV from both industrial and energy policy perspectives to realize the overall optimization of society.
