We support the "THINNING" activities, as they consider forest issues. We are tackling environmental problems from a broad perspective, such as sponsoring and collaborating with like-minded teams and organizations.

About THINNING 

THINNING is an event that provides an enjoyable market setting to raise awareness about mountain issues. Throughout Japan, numerous "degraded forests" are left neglected, where sunlight doesn't penetrate, the soil is weakened, and there's a risk of landslides and other hazards.

Thinning is the process of appropriately cutting down trees to allow sunlight to reach the dark forest floor, restoring the forest to a healthy state. However, to continue thinning, we must create a distribution system for the thinned wood (thinned timber) and keep creating "opportunities" to maintain the forest. We want as many people as possible to know about this current situation and use it as an opportunity to consider actions that can be taken by the private sector. We are starting this market together with vendors who sympathize with our vision and have gathered here.
