Aakel Technologies Inc. (HQ: Fukuoka, Japan, Representative Director: Ryoji Miyawaki, hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) is a climate tech company from Fukuoka that develops business with the aim of solving climate change problems and balancing business with the corporate purpose of “realizing a decarbonized society through digital innovation”.
On June 30, 2022, Fukuoka Financial Group Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Hisashi Goto, hereinafter referred to as "FFG") and FFG Venture Business Partners Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Yasuhiko Yoshida) hosted the FFG Open Innovation Program "Co-Challenge!"¹ won the FFG Award. This time, they used the "Decarbonization Simulator" under development to visualize the status of corporate decarbonization efforts and evaluated the concept of decarbonization solutions.

– FFG Open Innovation Program “Co-Challenge!” Summary –

An open innovation program that combines the business ideas and technologies of startups and other companies with FFG's resources to create new businesses that contribute to solving social issues together. The target fields of this program are related to the Fintech field and businesses that utilize loans, settlements, remittances, and asset management (themes other than those listed are acceptable). The Company supports these activities by commending those that have the potential to develop new services with FFG.

Note 1: Co-challenge: A coined term that means to take on the challenge of providing new value to customers together with partner companies as a challenger.
