Aakel Technologies Inc. (HQ: Fukuoka, Japan; CEO: Ryoji Miyawaki), which aims to achieve a decarbonized society through digital innovation, announces the release of version 2.0.0 of its EV smart charging management system "AAKEL eFleet" on Monday, July 22, 2024. This update not only allows for cooperation with chargers compatible with OCPP2.0.1 but also enables the use of a wide range of functional enhancements.

OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) is an international standard communication protocol for managing electric vehicle chargers. OCPP2.0.1, the updated version of the currently most widely used OCPP1.6, enables the addition of various functions.
AAKEL eFleet is a software service that manages and automates optimal charging for EVs. With this update, it not only enables cooperation with both OCPP1.6 and OCPP2.0.1 chargers but also supports 64 functions, including remote charging control, enhanced security, and message display on charging station screens. Additionally, AAKEL eFleet can customize functions according to customer requests. With support for OCPP2.0.1, it is now possible to meet requests that were previously difficult to achieve.
It is a service that manages and automates optimal EV charging using our proprietary technology (※). Targeted at companies and local governments that are introducing EVs for decarbonization, it is Japan's first system to optimize and automatically manage EV charging by combining systems such as "dynamic pricing," "fleet management," and "EMS" with "smart charging."
